Baseboard 11 ¾ inches x 5 inches by approximately ½ an inch base thickness.

Boiler: 3.5 inches diameter, 9 inches high, 17 inches high - including chimney - Copper/gunmetal silver soldered construction.

The boiler is very well made with a heavy gauge outer shell. It is fitted with a "Stuart" pressure gauge.

Mounted on a Mahogany face plywood base with a "MainSteam "composite engine house floor panel.

The steam inlet & outlets are 5/16" x 32TPI for 3/16" pipe - (adaptors are available for different sizes)

This boiler is of the wet firebox water tube type, having several water tubes running from the base of the firebox to the main upper part of the boiler.

"MainSteam" Displacement Lubricator - complete with small galvanised bucket.

The inspection panel in the front of the boiler is functional. I originally removed it to inspect the boiler internally, after which a new gasket was fitted along with proprietary sealant so that it does not leak. Such an inspection panel in a copper boiler is unnecessary, but it follows full size practice to have one. I do not recommend removing the inspection panel as it is now firmly sealed.

No certificate, but has had a hydraulic test to 140PSI prior to use (working pressure 70psi) Although this model steam plant is new, I have steamed the boiler at least 6 times to flush out any residue left over from the silver soldering process. Originally the boiler primed but soon settled down after the 4th test. The boiler is a nice gentle steamer, very easy to handle & is suitable as a steam generator for steam engines such as: Stuart Turner 10V, Stuart Turner Double 10V, Stuart Turner Beam Engine, Stuart Turner S50, Stuart Turner Victoria etc.

It is assumed that the buyer will perform the necessary tests before use, to prove the suitability of this model steam boiler plant as a pressure vessel. It is not a toy and is not suitable for use by children unless supervised by a competent adult with experience of live steam boilers.
